Street soccer in Masakhane

We hosted a street soccer game in the township Masakhane.

For once, this wasn't for the kids, but for the adults in Masakhane. And, like everything in South Africa, it started an hour late, but I'm getting used to this chill lifestyle. When the teams were finally complete and the "goals" set up, the game started. It took place in the center of Masakhane, just in front of the supermarket and the notorious "White House". It's the "nightclub" in Masakhane and we went two weeks ago. It was really cool and really weird at the same time. No stranger had ever asked me to take a picture with them before... that has now changed. Everyone was very nice, but quite surprised and at first intimidated because white people don't usually go there. Ever. And the music was really nice! I think it was african house or something.

Teala and I even found some adorable puppies on the street.

Even though the game was for adults, lots of kids came to watch. The other volunteers and I took care of them and played with them.

This girl has got some serious posing skills (unlike me).

^ One of my favourite pictures ever.

...aaaaaand the winners!
