Back to the Cape

It seems as if we like to spend our weekends in Cape Town...

We hit the road, left Franschhoek and drove all the way to Cape Point, through Fischhoek and Simon's Town.

There it is! The Cape of Good Hope:

A beautiful picture of beautiful people...

We continued our route to Cape Town on the Chapman's Peak Drive. The sun was low and made the beautiful scenery look even more breathtaking.

We caught the sunset from the bottom of Table Mountain. (You can see Cape Town stretching out behind me!)

Then, we made it to our backpackers, Once, which is a really chill place to have a few drinks, too.

Martyn and I headed out for dinner (and several drinks) while Johannes and Callum went to a Rugby game.

We went out on Long Street (where else?), some of us were really excited about going to Fiction and I had so much fun.

Sunday was a letdown after the beautiful sunshine we had had on Saturday. Not wanting to waste a rainy Sunday, we decided to go to a museum. Most were shut, so we chose one of the only options, the castle.
We met up with some of Johannes' german friends, which was nice, but the museum is really not worth your time or money.

Disappointed and starving, we headed to the Eastern Food Market.

We felt so much better with these in our tummies.

I would have loved to finally go up Table Mountain, but the clouds ruined my plans. Do you see how they are hiding the mountain?
You can never really go wrong with a stop at the waterfront, so we walked around the african markets there and started looking at souvenirs to take back home... I also might or might not have been shopping just a tiny little bit.
