Guess where we went.
The carrousel can only mean one thing: BELMONT PARK! While Mom and Charlotte waited, William and I went for a ride on the Giant Dipper. Don't judge, I'm still a child (at heart). I know you are, too.
Dad was swimming in the ocean one last time, but joined us at the Wave House beach club. Check out this cool menu!
We had a few drinks and some delicious sushi to keep us going.
(The cup isn't empty and I'm not just posing... no, really.)
Unfortunately, we had to head back to the hotel to check out and drive back to LA.
You might look like a tourist, but you really get the California feeling when you're riding the bikes along the beach. Besides, who isn't a tourist in Pacific Beach, SD?
After that last bike ride, we left our beloved SD and headed to LA. Quick hotel check-in and we hurried to the beach to catch the sunset. Worth every stressful second it took us to get there!
Sunsets are part of the tradition, do not miss them! You won't find these everywhere.
Oh, and a great place to have dinner is the Caffe Pinguini in Playa Del Rey. It is actually owned and run by real Italians. They have the classic pizza and pasta, but also serve other specialties for those of you who are keen on something new. The service is charming, the food is great and isn't americanized (which is, dear foodies, quite rare in the US).
