Not like that, cheeky. But now that I've got your attention, let me explain. Cold january sunday = baking. Slutty brownies, doesn't the name say it all? Easy and naughty, so quite slutty indeed. The perfect model for today's food porn post. I didn't hold back on the pics... you're welcome.
You want to learn how to make these?
Let's do it.
You've probably heard of these before, a lot of blogs have posted a recipe. If you still don't know what I'm talking about, picture this: chocolate chip cookie dough topped with Oreos topped with brownie batter, popped into the oven altogether.
You need:
200g butter (room temperature)
230g brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
360g flour
300g chocolate chips/ chopped dark chocolate
Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until creamy. Add the eggs, mix well. Add the flour, baking powder and baking soda, mix again. Add the chocolate chips, mix.
You get something like this (a bit sticky, don't worry):
Grease your pan, then spread the dough until it covers the whole base of the pan.
Grab those Oreos.
Arrange them evenly. (I didn't have so many, but you could/should use more...)
Nicely nestled in the cookie dough.
I had some peanuts and I think they enhance pretty much everything, so I sprinkled them over the Oreos. Yes, they are salted, and that is perfect.
You need:
180g flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cocoa (dutch process)
300g dark chocolate
180g butter
200g sugar (you can totally adapt this, go down to 180g or smth if you like)
5 eggs (take 4 if they are big)
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt the butter and the chocolate (bain-marie, over boiling water). Let cool down to room temperature. Add the sugar and vanilla, mix. Add 3 eggs, mix well but do not over-beat. Add 2 more eggs, mix. Add the flour, cocoa and salt, mix with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula.
Shiny butter + chocolate. Peace, I couldn't resist.
You might want to taste the batter... Just in case, I mean you should really know what you're putting in that oven, don't you agree?
These two look like they want to be united.
And so they shall.
Pour the batter over the dough/Oreos, then spread.
Strangely, the blogs suggest using baking mixes for the cookie base and the brownie top. Ummm ok it goes faster, but to be honest I don't really have a stock of baking mixes in my cupboard so I had to make this the old-fashioned way. From scratch (probably the most fun anyway).
Grab your ingredients, turn the speakers up and let's get started. It took me a while, but that's just because I'm an incredibly slow baker. A nice sunday project anyone? Your family and friends will love you for it.
I listened to this gem the entire time (thank you Lena). Perfect sing-along music:
This might look scary, but I will break it down for you (I swear it's easy!).

Bake the whole thing in a 175°C warm oven for 25 min. You should get something fudgy but done.
Mine were a little underdone (aka. perfect), but only you know how you like your brownies.
The proud baker...
Luckily, I have a few people here who helped me with the eating up part. All that tasting made me incapable of having more than a tiny square for dessert. Shocking, right? These babies are rich. But I'm not complaining. I'm just going to roll over to my bed, snuggle into the covers and enjoy the last bit of the weekend. So should you!
